Don’t really understand this. We all know the Monk’s character is questionable at best but he defended himself at his own cost. It’s not his fault the state made a shite of their case against him. I think he should be reimbursed.

The state was already embarrassed enough by the monumental failure of the SCC to convict Hutch, probably didn’t want the added embarrassment of paying for the pleasure of being made to look like fools.
He can well afford it,it’s probably a principal thing
Taking the puss a bit in fairness
Seems unfair that a guy found not guilty has to pay for his defense.
