Must be hard picking which nanny to leave them with.
Welcome to the UK. Where having children is a uniquely privileged experience, reserved for royalty and rugby players.
If that’s not the case, then what exactly is news here? Having kids is hard work? Oh gee, imagine how many parents haven’t figured that out. I don’t even have kids and I think I have a clue about it. I’ve been in people’s houses while they’re trying to do life things while being interrupted every 4 seconds by one’s bored, one’s hungry and the other 2 are having a fight over whose turn it is to try removing their own eyeball. Meanwhile baby’s learning how (not) to do stairs.
In fact it’s the fact that I’m not omnipresent and omniscient that makes me absolutely *dread* the idea of having kids. I’d be awful at it. Probably a brilliant mum to a teenager, but it’s *getting* to the teenager part that’d be rough. I can do compassionate wisdom stuff. Basic health and safety, attention and extreme multitasking, though… Put it this way, I’m quite amazed I managed to get *myself* to 40.
Now imagine how hard it is for the peasants who can’t afford heating much less nannies.
Must be so hard when she doesn’t have to work, cook, clean, has a nanny and more money than she knows how to spend
