I have the most basic-bitch Polish last name and everyone ALWAYS mispronounces it. It’s always KowALsky or some shit lmao.
most sane mathematician
Psychotic maniac that brought suffering because of his fucked ideology… Oh, we’re talking about Ted Kaczyński
Yeah, but like, you guys think you don’t butcher names in other languages? Spoiler: you butcher the fuck out of names in other languages, including English.
they called him the Unabomber not by his last name 🤦♂️
They don’t even pronounce his last name right tho 💀
The ironic is that we have another one in Poland making his way to prison.
relatable
Polish (214)
I guess bro is typing on a German keyboard and doesn’t realize it’s qwertz
When my friend and i did poland for culture-fest, we put him on there as a notable polish-american lmao

I mean….nobody has ever pronounced his name right.
Nobody ever pronounced it the way they do the PIS twins Bolek i Lolek (RIP Lolek)
Carl Yas-trem-ski.
There was a third brother, but rarely anybody was talking about him after what happened to a second brother
People have a really hard time spelling my family name; Podawacz. It is incredibly rare, and from my own experience in the Netherlands they spell it “Podawaks”, “Podawach”.. these are the most common variations I have encountered, there’s many others that make you facepalm very hard.
Image how hard is it to be a Przemysław in a foreign country 🙃
It’s extra funny bc this person couldn’t even SPELL it correctly.
My surname is Strządała. So yeah good luck foreigners.
They spelt his name wrong
My name is Szymon and because of that I get called Cinnamon, Sizzlemon, Syzmon at work
Still can’t spell it though.
It’s not my last name but my family last name. .. Piszcz. The struggles I have seen people go through to figure out how to say it is comical.
Thankfully my name is spelled almost the way English one is and last might cause trouble because of different pronounce of letters. But overall it’s not difficult
