Dear Estoniians, I visited your country a few times back in 2007 and 2011. Tartu, Muhu, Kurressaare, Talinn, Paide all were great. Yet now I am writing for a different matter. The Russian company grey-shop (who sells armygear and pro RU stuff) is running payment service via your country;

*Payment details*

***Number X Finance OÜ*** *Registration address: Vesivärava tn 50-201 Tallinn, 10152 Estonia*

*Impact of sanctions on payment*

*Our company complies with the EU and US international sanctions. All products that for one reason or another fall under sanctions have been removed from the site and cannot be purchased. We do not work with sanctioned companies. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about this. For greater security, all payments are made to an Estonian company.*

Their social media accounts gloryfy the Russian army like this ; [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaQTQWA4444&t=52s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaQTQWA4444&t=52s) among many others. They also claim direcly providing material to the Russian army. Since they 1. They mention their warehous adress in Moscow. 2. They run a wbsite with a .ru extension. 3. They hav been running that website for many years from Russia pre war also selling paintballgear 4. Costumers on facebook complain that Russian mailservices lost their packages (foreign costumers). 5. The phonenumbe for costumerhelp has a Russian countrycode +7. 6. Claim stuff is produced in Russia. It”s safe to say it”s a Russian company using an Estonian shell for payments.

so are they breaking Estonian law and if so what can we do/?a

  1. Not a lawyer, but:

    Estonia has constitutionally protected free speech and freedom of press meaning there is likely no legal case that can be made against them based on your post. Frankly no legal case should be taken against them if all they are doing is promoting the Russian army. Unfortunately they are entitled to their opinion, even if it is disgusting.

    Boycott might be a good idea.

  2. From reading the sanctions list I don’t think it’s illegal unless the company is majority owned by the Russian state. However, I have no qualifications to quarantee anything.

    Like someone said, you can contact our [internal security service](https://kapo.ee/en/content/contact-information/) as they are the ones who deal with sanction violations.

  3. If you look up the Number x Finance then you can see that they are a third party service. And it looks like they are offering a service to sell stuff on local market through some local financial body. They seem to have multiple different sub companies in multiple countries.

    Intentionally or unintentionally it might be used for sanction avoidance.

  4. Eesti Ekspress (local newspaper) has been running investigative articles about companies in Estonia evading sanctions or finding legal ways of doing business with Russia. Media attention is always good, so in case this happens to be some legal loophole and the police can’t help, might also be a good idea to send the information to the media through [this link](https://www.delfi.ee/leht/vihje).
