Leo Varadkar says he would like to see fewer abortions in Ireland

  1. I would like to see less greed, manipulation, deflection, distraction and self serving TD’s, in Ireland.

  2. Nobody read the article:

“Now, the way you do that is through much better sex education, the greater availability of contraception – that’s why we’re extending free contraception. You can also do it by making sure that emergency contraception is readily available. You need to do all those things….”

  3. I’d like to see him abolish the USC like he campaigned on many years ago, amongst other kites flown to win elections

  4. Well yeah, would be weird if he had either of the other opinions.

“Jesus these kids are too sexually responsible, get them abortions up tf”

“Did ye see the new abortion numbers? Fuck thats the sweet spot, thats exactly the amount of abortions there should be”

  5. The thread must be going for some sort of record for both the ‘damned if you do, damned if you don’t’ count, and the sheer amount who didn’t ‘read the article’.

  6. I’d like to see an increase in the taxes of the rich, a rebate for everyone due to the energy prices soaring (more then the “grant”) and maybe you know, purging anyone over the age of 50 in the Dail, and maybe we can get some younger people into politics and get our country restarted again. Honestly he’s a fucking prick and needs to get a grip on things.

  7. Why would anyone want to see more abortions.. Being pro-abortion doesn’t mean you want to see more women in a position where they need to get an abortion. That’s like willing more people to get cancer because now we have better treatment options available

  8. so would everyone. Abortions happen when people become pregnant without want to. They’re a big hassle. everyone would want less of them.

  9. *Everyone* would like to see fewer abortions.

The arguments start when they’re confronted with the changes that would **actually** reduce the number of abortions – like proper human sexuality education, cheap, easy & safe access to effective contraception, and an economic climate that don’t make having a child a sentence to poverty.

  10. I’d like to see fewer cases of homelessness in Ireland 😊

Edit: read the article, he actually made sense this time. Still would like to see fewer cases of homelessness in Ireland.

  11. Playing devil’s avocado. After reading the article it sounds like he means he would like to see fewer abortions because of the availability of better sex education and access to contraception?

  12. We would like to see lower income tax, lower cost of living, better healthcare, cheaper meal options for school kids, better roads etc …start using your function for those things and not on women’s uterus

  13. This sub is a joke at this point. Whilst I dislike Varadkar as much as many here, at least some of you should try and see through the red mist of fury. It’s remarkable that some here would claim The Irish Times has FFG bias when the headline does him dirty.
