6. Proud Kerry man! Legend. Has a mountain named after him in Antarctica for his heroic acts in the exploration of that part of the planet.

8. Three expeditions to the Antarctic and it was a burst appendix at home in Kerry that got him.

9. 2001 i lived in Annascaul for a year, i practically lived in the Southpole Inn, that was Tom Crean’s pub. It was an experience….

22. This photo had triggered some primal fear in me, I can’t begin to explain the distress I feel looking at this, I don’t even mean this in any insulting way, this photo feels untrustworthy and haunting

25. My distant uncle Patrick Keohane was another irishman on the Scott expedition with Crean. Lots of great info about him out there as well.
