Finally now i can have someone come over and shrug their shoulders before telling me they cant do anything.

They won’t actually have any more resources to investigate due to a mixture of lack of funding and needing to hit targets.
Not sure it’s an efficient use of time tbh if it’s not leading to a significant increase in convictions. Are they actually doing anything at the scene e.g. collecting evidence that wouldn’t be possible over the phone?
So they’ve achieved the very basics of policing, actually attending the scene of a crime.

Doing a house is one of the lowest things ya can do in my book .
Though some of the folks who do houses are good folks .
Just my ways the thing that drove most folks to do houses Smack.
I use to know alot of Lads from Bradford All sound lads.
Down to earth easy to get on with.Some could be a dingy at times .Most did houses and was smack heads.
The saddest thing about it though it was the akhis from bradford ie Muslims
Who often delt the smack, that shite is pure evil.Just like crack anything with ack at the end.

When i was a kid in the 80 or it could of been early 90 i am sure if you got cought with a knive.

This is laughable overreaction. Most of the country has seen no burglary solved in nearly half a decade, and suddenly due to the outrage we will get a police officer (or probably one of the PCSO’s if they are still a thing) coming around to, well, do nothing.
There’s sadly no resources or numbers to deal with these sort of crimes. It’s sadly easier to give a crime number for insurance and to move on.
You want decent police, you need to give proper funding.
This sounds very much like the NHS A&E target that everyone should see a nurse within four hours. The solution was to take a nurse from clinical duties and have them act as a greeter instead. Target met; service degraded.
My force have always attended burglaries.
The policy is that a statement has to be taken for every one.
This shouldn’t even be in question, how the fuck are they finding people for piddling little traffic offences and other non issue bullshit when they can’t even be fucking bothered to attend burglaries.
Give me a gun and it’ll make solving what happened alot easier.
