  1. It was so easy for you to make this post actually usable as a comparison. It was right there on the second graph.

Compare your KWH usage, not bill amount.

  2. You’ve been with them over 12 months so you are now out of whatever deal you signed up for (I think it was 27% discount when I was with them last year) and so you’re now paying the full whack after a year of heavily publicised price increases. You are getting gouged I’m not denying that, but you’re allowing it to happen.

Get yourself on Bonkers and jump ship.

  3. Is this a new builds, so heated by elec? Do you work from home? Are you on a plan with rates for different times? In particular what plan? What’s your breakdown on usage by hour?

Or do you just want to bitch about it?

Edit: Not sure why I’m being downvoted. Happy to help if provided info. Many people are being overcharged as they’re on plans that don’t suit them. And some people do only make posts because they want to winge and not do anything about their issue.

  4. I can see with my heating my gas usage so far is 31% less than last year but then I’ve paid 21% more so far this year compared to all of last year and we are only in summer now.

  5. Always amusing how the war in Eastern Ukraine and the cutting off of Nordstream gas/oil pipeline into central europe leads to higher costs of the wind turbines we get our Electric Ireland “100% Green Electricity” in Co Clare

  6. Ah sure it’s putin don’t ye know. Sure he’s sitting over in his office with the heating on full blast in the middle of summer using AC to balance it out, with batteries on a frying pan and charging 100,000 vapes and not a solar panel in sight. It’s him not the energy companies..sure they have to take staff on to lay staff off you know!

They’ll only stop when they forced to like the supermarkets. Yes it IS price gouging. Using a war as a scapegoat the utter bastards. You’d expect an increase but this is pure opportunism.
