All to be put into a ‘rainy day fund’ that will be used to bail out the banks in the future instead of, ya know, reducing class sizes which are some of the largest in the EU/OECD or funding education in general (some of the lowest per capita in EU), building more hospitals/making medical professions more attractive, increasing police numbers which are the lowest in western Europe, investing in sport (the lowest in EU) and just generally investing in ourselves right now instead of reacting to problems and paying triple fold down the road 🤷🏻♂️

I mean there’s far bigger issues but who in the *fuck* is still buying an iphone anymore? They’re like the worst value phone on the market by a long way, and they don’t even have a cool factor or a look factor going for them anymore!
Great. Now let’s get the metro built to the airport and another underground line in the centre of Dublin. While you’re at it, invest more in primary and secondary education and pump some money into apprenticeships and training for the trades. Fund generous incentive schemes to get existing contractors to take on apprentices. Start retro-fitting the homes of people who cannot afford the costs of insulation, solar panels and heat pumps.

Please Irish government just build stuff we need and that will attract tourism please build infrastructure for the love of Christ fix roads, healthcare services, better buses, build the airport underground and make plans for the rest of it, help developers build upwards rather than out, restore a few parks around the country, clean water anything 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ please please for the love of Christ just do the right thing with this money as this isn’t a once off with Brexit and Ireland becoming the new best friend for America in Europe we will have alot more tax coming in the next few years it’s time to build and be ready for the next century

Fucking invest it in infrastructure, fast rail, similar to France, high speed rail would make the journey Dublin to Cork in 40mins.
Imaging the possibilities , you could build and live anywhere along the main sections of that route if you worked/studied in Dublin. Prices for property in Dublin would be irrelevant.
Also open up the West coast of Ireland, Cork to Donegal route.

And we are going to spend it on infrastructure, green energy and healthcare right? Right?
Monorail imho, that or underground network like other big cities. There is very little to gain in trying to improve “on the ground” infrastructure. Either go up or below. Imagine the amount of traffic that’d take off the roads….
Feckin hell, they could entirely abolish the USC and still have a surplus of 21 Billion to put into infrastructure.
I just can’t believe the rest of the world are happy to let us keep having this windfall, just because we let them set up their HQs over here. It seems too easy.
Yet we are the only European capital with a rail link to an airport and soon will start charging people dropping others off there by car.
We all rightly complain about the government but setting up this hyper friendly corporate system was the smartest thing we’ve ever done
How much are income tax receipts?
More than corporation tax receipts. Why are individuals paying more than corporations in taxation?
Buy everyone in the country 5 iPhones!
