My bus ride from hell in Luxembourg. In the end, we were retained for 1.5 hours and many people indeed missed the checkin of their flights! Is it even legal for the police to trap people inside a bus against their will while they interview the ‘victim’?!

Subtitles please? or a summary of some sort… was this an argument over giving up a seat?
This comunity was really offline for a long time!
What the heck? Go to the police and file a complait. Why keep the bus there if she can’t even guarantee that it was stolen inside the bus? If she knew who stole, ok…. but based on a hunch? Nonsense.
What a farking idiotic situation. I would have used the emergency exit and claimed an anxiety attack.
I would say the police was wrong here. I doubt the police would search everyone’s belongings even if it was guaranteed that the purse was stolen by someone inside the bus.
People are the worst.
This is absolutely mad. I would have just broken the glass and left the bus at this point
Is it just me or French sounds so scadalous?
Imaging you cant go to holiday with 3 friends because someone’s missing 100euro. 100/4 = ?
That’s really sad that some people missed their flight for this and that the police was not clever enough to properly manage the incident.
When did this take place and on which line? The seats do not look like those of the regular line to the airport.
Luxembourgish bus rides became worse and worse in the last months/years, not only the bad service but also the number of mad people riding it increased. From people screaming trough the bus and yelling at other riders children just for taking a seat beside them on an overfilled rushhour bus from luxembourg to steinfort while playing loud music with the busdriver not giving a shit to having 1h delay on a normal saturday afternoon.
I generally like the idea of public transport to have less cars on the road and as public transport is free I consider it the first option of commuting and traveling inside the border, but the quality of the bus experience has to become better.
Insane. Even if there is a thief on that bus, I wouldn’t ruin the day of a dozen other people because of 100 EUR. People usually pay 100 EUR extra to save 90mins, especially to avoid spending that 90 mins in an environment like this.
Conclusion: plan to get to the airport for two hours before your flight no matter what, especially on a Sunday during the summer.
I wonder if publicfreakout is back open…
I would be furious. I’m surprised no one went after the driver! I probably would have been arrested. If my kids had to sit through that!?
Wow the Titel should be, entitled French Karen hold bus hostage for 1.5h over her 100€ lose.
I wonder who reimbursed the lady her 1000€ flight in the end. If she had to pay it by her self I would be pissed.
Who instructed the bus driver to hold the people on the bus for 1.5h?
Is it even legal to be imprisoned like this?
Yeah this is why I don’t do public transportation. Cannot imagine trying to fly back home to the US where our tickets are over €1000 per person for this. I would’ve lost my shit.
Take the fucking police to the court. This is ridiculous. Why are people such inefficient dimwits! Holding up a bus! Listening to ONE lady! The police could have searched everyone and let them go. Or just filed the complaint and let go.
The news papers in lux who kill journalism everyday should be informed. You all need to be compensated for this by the bus company and the police.
Doesn’t the bus have a camera? Wouldn’t it be more effective to just take the people details and watch the footage afterwards?
wondering how calm people still are.
Being hold against their own will in a bus… there‘s a little emergency hammer 🔨 …
I would give the driver 2 warnings to open that door.
I hope someone takes responsibility at least!!!
1 hour and a half. wth. Why? Not all too long ago a friend of mine was on the bus which happened to be stuck for technical reasons. Granted the people were upset but the bus driver (according to my friend) dispatched it in, waited for the next bus to arrive so that the people could get from one bus onto the other so they could continue their journey. Again, granted in a FULL bus but at least they were heading towards their destination instead of being stuck for hours on end. I’m confused about what’s going on here bc I don’t understand everything that is being said…
Now I want to know who will pay for her flight… Ok… Probably no one
Driver must be arrested for kidnapping.
I propose that next time there is a reported shoplifting in any of the big supermarkets that they close all exits for the entire day until the police do a strip search on everyone in the supermarket.
Have you gone to RTL or l’Essentiel with this?
The lady is speaking in polish at the end of the video
I wonder why nobody useed the emergency release handle on the bus door to get out.
What else to expect from police who isn’t happy with their jobs?
The bus driver was a cherry on the cake, how old was he? Just out of nursery? Pathetic how far from reality the bus driver really is. There are kids inside that bus. Somebody should have opened the emergency exit and got the kids out. Well the Karen is a Karen, you can’t do anything about her.
I feel sorry for the guy in yellow shirt, seems to be her companion. So clearly embarrassed.
His reaction is, as it wouldn’t be the first occurrence of this kind. Poor guy.
If it means I would miss my flight I would break the door
Incredible patience shown by so many people… not sure I’d have been so patient.
What the hell happened anyway?
Yes it is completely legal for the police to stop people from leaving the bus in this situation.
You definitely need to file a complaint against the bus driver, he is guilty and needs to learn a ton of shit before taking up the responsibility for so many lives, especially where kids/elder/disabled are involved. Happy to help.
Unbelievable…
