That’s not a lot of money for Belgium, but disaster relief is always a good way to build relations with foreign countries and it should be uncontroversial.
I can’t believe some of the people in these comments. This is about sending disaster relief supplies to a disaster area. Shelter, medicine, food. How can you be against that? And what does any of that really have to do with the surrounding war?
These people are in trouble and Belgium decided to send them help.
I am proud of that decision and I stand by it. Ukraine has suffered so much, but by the time this war ends, I believe they will be a European powerhouse – both militarily and industrial. This is an investment in all our futures.
Helping is good but some companies are making billions off the war. They could help too (and more as us).
