First-time buyers of flats will also be eligible for short-term compensatory allowance of €20,000
Wtf

I don’t mind municipalities investing, specially for energy efficiency .. but the rest of it is a total ans complete outrage .
Basically subsidies on loans mean increased house prices.
I know who not to vote for next election that’s for sure
Me reading the title and being confused why companies and households get AIDS
We saw it coming. I don’t think this will be the end of it because EUR 150m is not enough to make an impact. However, this signaling from the government is already very worrying.
Houseless tax payers helping out “rich” people to buy their first apartment and helping our filthy rich “entrepreneurs” to stay on green. Madness.
Plus, correct me if I’m wrong, there is a big need for cheaper construction services and handyman services in Luxembourg. A market correction is needed asap. Let it happen.
Instead making those invesotrs and real estates even richer, they should invest in building more on their own! Build more social housing like ffs! That would push the price even lower while still helping the building industry! And it helps everyone trying to buy a home but no, let’s invest it in the most stupid way possible keeping the prices high with high interest rates like wtf?? DP stays DP…
Edit: saw it is not only Delles, the whole government should be ASHAMED!
Doesn’t seem like too bad an approach to me. The article indicates that the money will mainly be spent on increasing public spending on maintenance and improvements of public buildings (crèches, etc.), which I assume is due at some point anyways and might yield long term savings and other benefits.
I’d rather take that than thousands of unemployed construction workers with ADEM.
This initiative does not seem to target big developers – apart from the cap for public constructions getting increased.
The challenge is not to overpay on the work delivered.
