I mean, that’s a significant part of the NL. Thats why there are dykes.
(Not from the Netherlands) never seen a picture of the dyke before is it like a barrier type of thing to keep the sea level from threating the land?
If you walk on the dyke near the “Stone Man” near Harlingen during high tide (and surely in other locations too) you can see this very clearly for yourself. No drone needed.
BTW: The Stone Man is a statue erected in honor of Gaspar de Robles a Spanish governor of Frisia who apparently helped to convince the locals to make their dykes a bit higher. There is a schematic [here](https://harlingenboeit.nl/nieuws/de-dijktrappen-westerzeedijk/@@images/image) that shows how we have been defeating the rising tides through the ages.
