Torrential rain in Tralee has caused serious floods all over the town. This is the inside of Dunnes Stores. Incredibly a few miles out the road in Castleisland we’ve had no rain yet today

Done the Athlone 10mile run in sweltering heat this morning, sky is BLACK here now. Just waiting on the thunder and the downpour to start.
So, the shop has active flooding from the ceiling and they’re allowing people in to do the grocery shopping?
“Clean up on aisle 5”
If this is the way the rats are going it’s good enough for me.
In the replies there’s a video of a video of a flood 😂
The cinema as well apparently is completely flooded
Flat roof obviously. Never understood why a decent gradient isn’t on flat rooves. Like it seems the drop is 1 in 3000
Could this be the result of climate change? No, I’ll just keep sniffing turf
Half the town was under water at this point. The cinema, the hospital, some of the main streets, several of the pubs, houses too.
And two poor lifeguards struck by lightning at Banna Beach.
It’s all the Aquadome now.
Castleisland’s drenched now lol
Better fire up the Healey Rae spot light
Tralee belongs to the sea now. They say folks there have “Innsmouth look”
Grand soft day.
Remember, when it comes to Kerry…

People casually walking around in a pool of water that is connected to the electric light by a steam of water, while kid’s voice can be heard in the background. …And people thought I was nuts for replacing my electric shower?
Is the entire town not built on a flood plain?
“Big trouble I’d say.”
How bad is the build quality that heavy rain does this to the building?
I mean its not like rain is unusual in Ireland -even heavy at times!
