  1. It’s pretty cool that you can order in Welsh.

OP, do many people use said option?

  2. Chicago also has Polish options on their self serve machines.

  3. Makłowicz said that the tourist information in Ireland was in Polish next to some cliffs

  4. Hurrr durrrr polski plumber fix english toilet. Am hungry now, get McDonald’s, feel accepted…

  5. Same for the whole of UK iirc definitely in the Midlands where I live, love changing it so I can read it but the person after me can’t

  6. As a Welsh man, living in England, with a Polish partner, I love this

  7. Didn’t expect this to blow up. Love all you Poles from Wales, but your language is so hard to learn

  8. I imagine it’ll be the same in Ireland (with Irish subbed for Welsh ofc). Love our Polish community!

  9. We in PL also have English as a choice and nobody makes big news about it. Nothing to care about, I’m closing the thread.

  10. When I was in NYC recently, in the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn you can find Polish often being the second language option, things like Banks which have
Entrance with Wejście written underneath etc.

Was surprised, I thought Polish migration to the states ended many years ago

  11. You see this around Norway as well. Especially in the cities. I believe poles are the largest or second largest population of foreign born people in Norway.
But with the recent collapse of the Norwegian Krone towards zloty (and everything else) perhaps you will need to put Norwegian text on the machines in Poland 😅

  12. However, I was in Vienna last week, and there are hardly any Polish language leaflets or other tourist materials, audioguides etc. in the museums and other sites, in spite of Poles being one of the largest groups of visitors. Ukrainian, Czech, and of course English are usually available, sometimes Hungarian and /or Slovak, Polish about never.

  13. I have noticed in many other countries as well, for example Island has warning signs in Polish.

  14. If there’s a lot of Poles, why not? I don’t mind that in Poland you can also order in English, German and some other languages (French and Russian, I think).

  15. Interesting if Welsh people also loose their minds about like Poles about Ukrainian language in shops/buses.

  16. I guess McDonald’s knows where their Polish customers are at!

  17. Poland is everywhere. Poland is massive everywhere we go.

  18. One of the few languages that can compete with polish in difficulty level
