I’m not aware of any proposed new collieries apart from the one in whitehaven, which is going to produce coking coal for steel making. We’re still a decade or two away from ‘greener’ steel production at scale. Noone has any interest in mining coal for power plants or fires. This bill seems to be a waste of paper and time.
