From what I can piece together, the big sticking point is the duration of the contract: DB is offering a 27-month agreement, the union is demanding 12 but is apparently willing to accept 21. That puts the ball firmly in DB’s court.
Unfortunately the power-struggle between the EVG and the GDL means that DB is not going to want to compromise, as whatever the EVG gets the GDL will demand more.
