First ever Partygate video revealed as Tories drink, dance and laugh at Covid rules

  1. Fiddling while Rome burns. The absolute state of our political class and the utter contempt they hold for us. Makes me furious; like loads of others; missed milestones, funerals etc… while this shower had fucking parties.

I hope they are all held accountable for this.

  2. Utter contempt for the British public. The only way this is going to change is if the Tories are annihilated in the next election. They should never be allowed anywhere near power again after the damage they have done to this country.

  3. Shameful behaviour whilst millions obeyed the rules *they* set out.
However, this looks like a potential smear video… “that’s not her boyfriend is it?”…. Sick bastard.

  4. >At least 24 revellers were there and, shockingly, they include two named on ex-PM Boris Johnson’s controversial resignation honours list.

Surely they can’t receive these ‘honours’?

  5. They aren’t laughing at COVID rules, they are laughing at the poor miserable working-class sods who have to live under society’s rules, unlike their privileged selves.

  6. Haha I know the two dancing, can’t remember what the girl does but the guy is not a politician , just an ardent Tory, I remember seeing them when the photo taken of that event came out a couple of years ago. They’re “reeling”/Scottish dancing as they do most places they go.

  7. When are we going to start talking about the police and journalists who knew this was happening yet did nothing?

  8. I can not begin to describe how angry this makes me feel.

    It’s sickening, it’s disgraceful and it’s disgusting.

I worked through out covid within the front line of public services. I, like many others, followed the rules that were set, not for my benefit but for the safety of those I care for.

During the lockdowns, I didn’t see my family, I didn’t share birthdays and we were not together for Christmas because we followed the rules.

I was out picking up those who had succumbed to the aweful virus, most of which were alone at the time of their deaths because they followed the rules.

I like many others lost someone close to me, our time was taken from us, we didn’t get to spend the end together because I followed the rules.

This was an incredibly difficult time for everyone, I understand that, but this footage just shows the utter contempt the people who were running the country had for the rest of us. It’s one rule for us and another for them.

  9. Ah, December 14th 2020. My baby was roughly a month old at that point and not gaining weight while I was struggling to get any feeding support whatsoever. I am still working through the shit that was having a lockdown birth and newborn period. But so so glad they had a fun party. We’re all equal but some are just more equal than others.

  10. Seems like a great clip for Labour to use in their next party election campaign. Let people remember what the Tories did while people had to say goodbye to loved ones over Zoom or had to spend weeks alone in their homes with no physical contact. The Tories will claim it never happened or that they have changed, but they should not be allowed to get away with such brazen lies like that.

  11. Mind-blowing.

Great timing for videos to start emerging.

How.much was paid for this video I wonder?

How much more is there in the pot?

  12. I suppose the stills were insufficient….if you closed your eyes and pretended that they didn’t exist, which let’s face it, the worst kept secret of a piss take by the Met of all time.

It was only when the politicial pressure increased, and the likes of the good law project on their heals, they took some very minor token actions.

The met are a bigger disgrace than this bunch of entitled scumbags.

  13. Putting aside the fact they’re breaking the rules that they made, just look at the state of these posh wankers. No wonder the country is fucked.

  14. Fuck those guys, this makes me so angry

The worst part is the feeling of helplessness. We can watch this video and know all the terrible things they did whilst the rest of us were in lockdown, but how the fuck can these people be brought to justice when they own the system?? Its so depressing.

  15. My mom was in a hospice and I had to sit with her in a mask day in day out. We were limited to one visitor per day due to restrictions. Her funeral was limited to 25 people and socially distanced.

And these cunts partied the nights away.

We must NOT forget this when the election rolls round.

  16. Seriously I’m just tired of this now, because what will actually be done? Nothing. Mogg was just knighted FFS

    How does this ever end?

  17. Remember when there was limits on how many people could attend a funeral of a love one? Remember how people couldn’t visit confused loved ones in nursing homes? Remember how families couldn’t take their newborn babies to show them to loved ones and relatives?

Hopefully people will remember these things in the next elections.

  18. For such an exclusive, you think the Mirror wouldn’t make their readers jump through a sheer amount of hoops to view the video.
I tried to open this on mobile and there’s just too many ads that the cover the entire page. Then when I tried to full screen it took me to a different story. I don’t know what’s worse, the story or this shockingly bad UI.

  19. I’ll remember this.

Whilst these lot partied and broke the rules they forced upon us, I attended 2 burials of family members and laid them to rest without a chance to say goodbye or the chance to comfort their loved ones.

  20. At my Dad’s funeral, we had to massively pull the chairs apart, so I couldn’t be with Mum properly. We couldn’t have a proper wake, either.

To say these people all need sacking is putting it lightly.

  21. I couldn’t go to my uncle’s funeral, what a fucking disgrace.

And one of these cunts gets an OBE???

  22. Let’s save some of our fury for the next 18 months as there is a LOT being held back. I can guarantee there are messages, photos and events still not there

They found 16 dodgy ones looking at his diary. The scum media tried to silence Jenkins who apparently was also at one. There’s the Abba party too.

I will safe my anger for when the really dodgy ones come out!

  23. I’ve tried to bite my lip through out all of Partygate and not make it personal to me, as I knew that if I did I’d be bitch-slapping my mental health way down.

This video did it for me. I missed my Grandfathers funeral because of Covid, my Uncle didn’t get onto chemotherapy in time to save him, because of covid, at his wife’s funeral who also lost a battle with cancer, me and my mum had to sit feet apart whilst she mourned losing her sister and best friend, again because of Covid.

Then there’s twats like this openly laughing and going against the rules making a mockery of everything people were going through at the time, and yet there’ll still be people blindly, stupidly defending them.

To say I’m angry would be an understatement right now.

  24. The thing that jumps out to me is how fucking shit these parties seem. Imagine this is the height of exclusive secret partying.

It also says everything that journos and political activists knew about these parties but were happy to keep their mouths shit until it suddenly becomes convenient to rat put their mates.

  25. Every cunt there needs to go to prison. People where refused to see dying family members, whist they had their above the law party.
    Wankers.

  26. The fucking arrogance of them!

Apprently, the Met saw this and didn’t give out any fines, it makes you wonder what the use of the Met is, seem to be full of criminals and refusing to prosecute criminal activity despite having bang to rights evidence.

  27. My dad died April 2020. Nearly 2 weeks in hospital before, no visitors allowed. My mum didn’t get to say goodbye. 4 people at the funeral and he was an absolute pillar of the community. And these c**ts carrying on like it’s 1999. They should be locked up.

  28. Reading the stories on here has really put the human element into partygate for me. For some of us COVID lockdowns were a period of inconvenience, and loneliness, but the idea of a parent dying alone, or not being able to be at the birth of a child is utterly heartbreaking. If this happened to any of you I can’t begin to understand how devastating the experience was.

And for this reason the utter contempt that our ruling elite demonstrated is an insult that should never be forgiven nor forgotten. They took the idea of national solidarity and shattered it, one shit office party at a time.

  29. “This is an old story. We repeatedly apologised for this event at the time. It was subject to a nearly year-long police investigation. The matter is closed.”

There you go folks. Utterly unrepentent.

  30. This is sickening to see.

In April 2021 my poor old mum, who was living with cancer and getting more and more frail, had a fall which resulted in her being taken to hospital. She had to wait in an ambulance for hours because of the backlog and I managed to have a brief chat with her. I was told that I shouldn’t drive the 45 minutes to the hospital to be with her as I wouldn’t be allowed in due to COVID.

    She died that night.

    Alone.

    With no family with her.

Quite possibly confused about what was happening.

I still don’t really know how it was for her or how she was treated when it happened.

Not a day goes by when I don’t wish I had just ignored the rules and driven to be with her. Nobody should die alone like that.

Meanwhile these… people… were taking the piss. Partying and having a good time.

    What is wrong with them?

Had they no sense of morality?

It’s disgusting and upsetting to watch them behave like that.
