So he was defrocked in 2013, but the diocese waited until 2017 to report him to the gardai. What did they know in 2013?
The Victim Impact statement is worth reading. It’s terrible to hear the key question he asked: why did nobody ask why a man in his 30’s was taking a boy away so much. It’s almost a classic case of how pedophiles work. And remember this was not the 1960’s, 70’s or 80’s.
I didn’t see this story on RTE. Or anything about the 2020 sentence. One of these odd things about it so I looked online: this is still up online. It illustrates how gullible people are. And remember this pedophile was laicised in 2013.
