  1. I am doubtful that these men would have gotten as violent against a Greek Cypriot woman. Not because I think that it was necessarily driven by racism or nationalism but because men like this think they are more likely to get away with this shit when a woman is not Greek Cypriot. They probably thought because she was Turkish Cypriot, there would be no consequences.

  2. For those saying “Oh, we don’t really know if they acted this way because she was TC. You can’t prove this. Don’t make assumptions blah blah blah”.

Even though, unless they confess, there is no hard evidence, let’s all grow up and be realistic about this. YES. SHE WAS ASSAULTED BECAUSE SHE WAS TC. OBVIOUSLY. How can anyone be so naive as to think otherwise? It’s racism everyone. Plain and simple.

Don’t try to play smart, don’t try to sugarcoat the situation by saying “the law doesn’t work this way”, don’t even try to pretend you don’t know this is true. All you have to do is look around you.

  3. Maybe he’ll give the attackers a consulting job in the government to say sorry for going through all that trouble with police
