DUP councillor: Mention of anything Irish triggers bad memories in unionist communities and bilingual proposals are like a hand grenade for good relations

  1. So “Shut the fuck up and don’t ask for anything, and we’ll grudgingly concede that you have the *right* to ask for equality.”

  2. Yea, we’re awful intolerant of racists and oppressors.

Fine Gael treat us with the same contempt and have been working towards a commonwealth Ireland under British rule using the facial tracking systems used to track Palestinians.

  3. Well they have to make some efforts. But the other side has to acknowledge that murders and atrocities were perpetrated against unionists by people who SF claim are righteous.
It’s hard to forgive human vermin like this, especially when you’ve already let them out of jail early with the GFA.

It’s the exact same dynamic with innocent nationalist civilians who were murdered by the UDA/UVF or by elements with this British security establishment

  4. Well there wouldn’t be bad memories if the DUMBASS Unionist Party kept shit stirring and fucking paying little bolloxes to riot because their fucked up little Brexit project blew up in their faces.

  5. On one hand, DUP crybullying is obviously bullshit nonsense that can be ignored.

On the other hand, I’m assuming the level of Irish in Belfast is on par with the level of Irish here. It’s ultimately an uninteresting political gesture.
