Sunak five pledges laid to waste as most Brits say he’s doing badly

  1. Latest Tory line on their failure seems to be that it’s all the BoE’s fault. Like they’re not actually in government and can’t do anything to fix the economic failure they’ve caused. Hopeless.

  2. Who are the ones who think he’s doing well?

Based on the numbers quoted in the article, the Lizardman Constant doesn’t account for all of them.

Unless YouGov surveyed the Cabinet, I guess.

  3. I just remember “SMALL BOATS” and the fact he didn’t list what actions he’d perform to ensure these outcomes like literally anyone who wasn’t lying to our faces would

  4. Doing photo shoots, filling someone elses car, that has a second hand value lower than his prada shoes, was just so much easier that this governing lark.

  5. He’s the sort of office shit that sets himself five easy objectives he reckons someone else will do and then nominates himself for a bonus if any come off.

  6. Sunak just needs to hop on the chopper, put some comedy on like I, Daniel Blake and chill. In the end, beachfront retirement is waiting and who cares about some struggling pleb, does he even know anyone?

  7. MP since 2015. Get’s the top job purely by virtue of his predecessor being less popular than a lettuce. You can’t make this shit up.

  8. Nothing to do with Brexit. Brexit is done. Everything there is good.

Cost of living crisis is caused by; hangover of COVID, energy costs and Ukraine war, Johnson/Truss. Enormous amount of immigrants. Now throw Bank of England under the bus too.

Brexit needed to be done to free Britain to become the country it could become…. Tanking exports rising import costs – currency exchange rate drop, nope, not a costly decade long realignment, so definitely not Brexit.

  9. He’s got no original ideas on tackling inflation, just letting BOE put up interest rates and not giving pay rises.
I think he’s stuck though, what could he do?

  10. Tory’s economic plans: “if we freeze salaries people will starve, dead poor people won’t be able to buy things and inflation will come down; genius!!”

  11. Yet the polling stands at 27% for the conservatives. More people will vote Tory in the election booth. They will rather die or live miserably than voting for labour. Labour win is not guaranteed.

  12. >“And you guys should be able to hold me to account in six months, nine months, a year, year-and-a-half.”

I’m so tired of this wait to judge him. Need an election asap.

  13. Funny that he’s been flying round the world promoting AI when his father-law owns an IT company trying to push forward with AI.

    Hmmmm bit of a coincidence.

  14. Westminster is rife with self serving, corrupt, incompetent, work shy, out of touch, the majority unintelligent, with a few spectacular morons like braverman, abbot, toxic narcissists like Cooper, Ree-Mogg, have over the period of my lifetime of 40 odd years utterly failed the population.
The civil service all ministry’s/ departments are awash with politically bias, woke; empire building, unaccountable, disobedient, cretinous imbeciles. The NHS is broken beyond repair, the denial of this fact, whilst continuing to idly chuck money into the NHS managements budgetary bonfires beggars belief.
Local government is the safe haven employer of the commercially unemployable.
Infrastructure doesn’t work, roads, rail, and for some reason cost the earth in comparison to anywhere else in the world.
The police have been rendered virtually ineffectual due to the spineless lib left.
Criminal justice isn’t that anymore, our prisons are full, but just holiday camps for dregs of society.
Using public safety to justify removal of freedoms is a standard practice
The bankers are out of control
Big corporations don’t pay tax, HMRC is an empty vessel unless you happen to be paye or self employed.
Education infants to school leavers is Victorian and again run by those who wouldn’t last anywhere else.
Bankers have continued to make huge profits based of fiscally unsound business practices. Goes unchecked.
    Utilities serve shareholders only

And they try to say immigration is a top priority.

Time is now for a complete overhaul of the system. Root and branch rethink of how to manage the country. with constantly improving quality of life with minimal interference top of the list.

  15. His problems lie in the fact that Tory policies can’t fix inflation. We need lower energy costs, lower food costs, or more mobility of labour. He could intervene and implement price caps for energy companies, and open up labour markets. Both would fix inflation but would be tantamount to admiring that conservatism doesn’t work. We need a new government.
