Threatening to kill someone because you don’t agree with their non-threatening life actions should be punishable with attempted murder.
Police in the circumstances shown there should be able exercise their reasonable force in the moment. If you threat to kill someone and are in the position to do so, they should expect to die also. Obviously this shouldn’t apply when backup is present, as the situation can be overpowered below the offenders threatened activities.
Two and a half years? Pretty lenient. Wonder how they swung that.

I’ve seen the body cam footage and the guy is delusional! He claimed he was a noble man and could ‘legally’ kill the cop in England. Very lucky that backup arrived so promptly, I don’t think he would have lived if they never!
Maybe the man has a grudge against the police that’s why he did it, it’s a good thing there is a video as evidence.
