A truck driver alleged to have put the future of his employer at risk by defecating in a client’s loading bay during an “urgent diarrhoea” incident has told the WRC that he decided not to tell anyone about it because he thought it would wash away in a thunderstorm.
His employer however, has challenged a medical report that the complainant had suffered a “gastrointestinal flare”, arguing that the firmness of the stool discovered by one of his colleagues was inconsistent with diarrhoea.

As someone with IBD he either has it on his medical records or he doesn’t. If he does then this urgency can easily be defended in court. Some people with IBD have no more than 30 seconds to go from getting the need to go.
