Non Swede here – what on earth does this shirt mean?

  1. *Lilla gubben* is Pippi Longstockings horse

*Övningskörning* is practice driving before getting the drivers license.

How that ties together with that T-shirt, well I have no idea.

  2. A little bit of a tradition! Every 15 year old who gets their tractor/AM license have to wear one of these as a sort of graduation outfit. Then the driving school will take a picture of the person and post it on their social media with a hearty congratulations. You can choose if you’d like to keep the shirt afterwards.

  3. Lilla gubben = little old man, used either as a term of endearment for little boys, or when you try to belittle grown men.
Övningskörning = what a student driver does when they drive with their parent/driver instructor. They have to have a green and white sign on the back of the car saying “Övningskörning” to let other drivers know that it’s a student driver driving.

Knockers in Swedish is *rattar*, which also means steering wheels.

So I guess the little old man is a student driver, and he holds on to the steering wheels / knockers?

I have no idea what it means, your guess is as good as anyone’s 😀

  4. Gräset är grönare på tuttsidan.

Det är också Italiens flagga i bakgrunden?

Referens till Dark side of the moon?

Känns som internhumor på något sätt.

  5. The word for a steering wheel (ratt) is also used as slang for women’s breasts. And “övingsköra” means to training drive, the joke being that the guy is training driving the boobs.

    ;-p

  7. This is not really “a thing” -never seen anything like it and I guess most swedes are as clueless as you and me.
