Interviewing tripling down is beyond stupid. Saying that he is pretty shit as his job if he can’t do basic research
Does anyone remember this happening to the girls from Be*witched? On UK tv they called them the first UK girl band to get a no 1. They corrected her and the host gets offended. Says something like ‘let’s not get political’
I’ve searched for this! I’m sure I didn’t dream it!
Damian Donovan doesn’t take kindly to being called british
The winds not shaking that barley.
Surely had to be intentionally provocative. Stupid statement that he doubled then tripled down on. Cillian handled it quite well. Tom Hardy was priceless!
Clown reporter ๐
Do the Northern Irish also not call themselves British despite being in the UK?
Edit: I see you lot don’t like questions. I’m simply trying to learn , so to those downvoting, I ask thee: why does my initial inquiry upset you? I don’t know the entire situation between NI and Ireland, hence the question
I thought the Israelis were fucking experts when it comes to borders.
Slightly off topic but your average British person knows as much about Ireland as your average Brazilian, South African or Chinese person.
But if you say, “You’re Irish”, he says, “No I’m from Cork.”
Perfection
Hahaha thatโs great and I totally understand.
What the fuck is that gif? Recorded from an app with text over it and subtitled?
Good on him, he’s a great actor and it’s great to see he’s proud of where he came from.
I hate how a lot of Irish artists, actors and e-celebs make a career here then fuck off and act like they’re from England or the US.
Last time I checked both those countries where falling apart at the seems so instead of sucking up to them for easier paychecks you should keep your pride and honour your people
I would have just walked out of the interview tbh. Blatant disrespect from the interviewer
๐ฌ
That interviewer is amazingly ignorant. How can he have the balls to double down on his stupid mistake God only knows.
I don’t know what’s worse, that he thought Ireland was part of Britain or that he thought Britain was part of northern Europe.
Israelis seem to struggle with geography a lot lmao
The body language says it all
Shame he can’t deny he’s from the British Isles.
Tim Hardy also has an Irish passport, hence his own reaction.
Lmao toms face
To be fair, itโs difficult enough for some people in Britain to know the difference. Obviously everyone in Ireland knows the difference. . British, British isles, united kingdom, Britain, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Great Britain, England, Scotland & wales. All mean something different and yet all cross over with other options.
That said, if you are interviewing someoneโฆ make the fuck sure you know where they are from
Never call an Irishman British
He should have called yer man Palestinian to make a point.
