My sympathy for everyone in Wales right now. In particular doesn’t this muck up most people’s Boxing Day plans?
Now if its a work meeting with wine and cheese at the pub is that OK to have more?
Like last time when certain areas had restrictions but others didn’t, people will simply travel to where there aren’t any. Remember when Scotland closed its pubs last time, all of north england pubs were packed with Scottish people.
My local is the smallest pub ever and everyone knows everyone so yea good luck

When I talk about the rise of managerialism this is the sort of ridiculous shit I refer to.
Absolutely pointless, I wish we’d stop with the half arsed rules, either the NHS is on the brink and we should shut the pubs or it’s not and people have to judge for themselves if it’s worth the risk.
You can’t even make people wear a mask for a 20 min shop now, why even bother trying to enforce what is quite clearly a useless rule? It’s like the little lifts that ask passengers to face away from one another, the tiny kitchen at work that they ask people to socially distance yet it’s fine to sit right next to the exact same people without a mask while you eat food.
The vets made me wait outside with my cat last week in the pissing cold rain because there couldn’t be more than 2 people in the fairly spacious waiting room, neither person waiting had a mask on.
Who is making all these arbitrary bullshit rules up? Do they not realise a significant portion simply do not follow them and all it does is cause contention and confusion.
