CrossCountry: Strike action set to disrupt Christmas Eve trains

  1. Does anyone know what is the current status of the “The Railways (minimum service levels) Bill”? Not much has happened since it was announced in December 2019.

  2. Gotta feel for people who have no choice but travel on trains for this Christmas period.

Omicron petri dishes on wheels with already massively disrupted schedules.

  3. Are these lot expecting us to be on their side? During this pandemic you’re forcing people onto more crowded trains at Christmas for your own charade? Way to lose the public support

  4. I travel to work on trains, incl cross country everyday. Used to delays trains being cancelled. Bang goes my 2% payrise as prices go up by 3.8%. luckily we have pay delay and I’ve got a rail card and it’s cheaper then driving.

Gwr staff have been great during the lockdown and pandemic. But in the SW we need better infrastructure. But as it’s not London… Never going to happen.

It’s going to suck big for people unable to get home for Xmas but if you have no choice you got to do what you got to do .

Trains have been very busy over the last few days, but always got a seat and the majority have been wearing masks.
