I mean all that white stuff outside his house can’t all be his
This is blatant homophobia. Santas had a wife forever. Mummy kisses Santa Clause every year. Why is it a problem all of a sudden for him to be portrayed as gay?
People really do care about silly stuff way too much
He visits all of the childens’ houses in the world, uninvited, via the chimney (even if you don’t have one), on flying reindeer, he has an army of elves, he keeps a list of whether everybody’s been good or bad, and *the weird thing about him* is that *he might be gay*?
Might explain why Olivia Newton John spent all night waiting for Santa to cum.

Good grief. I’m pretty sure santa is just santa. His main purpose being a wholesome mythical figure who distributes toys. He doesn’t really have a sexuality, since all of his interactions are with children.
Doesn’t matter either way, but I thought he had a wife, Mary Christmas.
I suppose it comes down to the exact nature of Santa. If he’s a magical human then I would say yes, although given that he has a canonical wife I’d say maybe bi is more likely.
If we consider Santa to be fae or a God of some description then maybe not, because those kinds of beings probably don’t have sexuality in any sense that a human would understand.
(This took far more thought that was deserved, but eh, its Christmas)
I think I feel a bit weird about seeing Santa snogging. But if he’s going to do it, I don’t care whether it’s Mrs Claus or his long-distance Norwegian boyfriend.
I don’ know how to phrase this but…
WHY THE FUCKING SHIT DOES THIS MATTER IN ANY SENSE OF THE WORD.?
Weird question for YouGov to poll.
Is this topical or something? (other than it being Christmas time of course)
He’s married to a lady and is frequently seen snogging people’s mums so it seems he’s a cheating slapper but unlikely to be gay.
Santa can be whatever the fuck he wants. He’s a grown ass adult.
LGBT, full on proving itself to be some form of Religion, everything must be labelled.
Yes he can. However, him being gay does not add or subtract anything from this fictional character. It’s a moot point
I must say I don’t care, I was never brought up to believe in Santa, I was just a story that other parents told their children, arguably lied to their children. I likely will never understand peoples obsession with a fictional character that everyone at Christmas seems to go along with just because everyone else does.
If someone is gay IRL, I don’t care. If someone imaginary is gay, I absolutely couldn’t care less as it’s irrelevant to everything. I take issue with the general idea of Santa and care about whole obsessive Santa idolisation (or whatever you call it) far far more, as to me it seems just really odd that everyone decides to go along a lie for what?
The “magic of Christmas” isn’t and shouldn’t IMO be based on a lie as eventually the children will realise the lie. I had perfectly happy Christmases without Santa being a creepy weirdo entering my home without permission, knowing everything about me, watching me while sleeping, raiding my kitchen and leaving wrapped unidentifiable boxes while being under threat that if I misbehave I will be placed on the naughty list and punished by the said individual who apparently can get away with doing all this not only without negative consequences but with a reverence from society.
Yeah being gay really is not the issue here, predictably so considering I can not think of a single issue where being gay is the issue.
This reminds me of Stewart Lee’s amazing routine – to a Glaswegian audience no less – about [William Wallace, Braveheart, being a gay pedophile](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHA1ufmLZQY)… a Scottish, gay pedophile – the worst kind of pedophile there is…
The point of the routine was to force the audience to accept the proposition of the person they admire the most possessing a trait that they are ostensibly tolerant of (not pedophilia, of course), but find hard to accept in that person, despite having no reason not to.
Sure, Santa could be gay. He could also be a Zoroastrian, a brony, or the real Jack the Ripper. Go nuts!
But it’s hard not to suspect stories like this of being an example of “bigotry farming”: purposefully baiting people into responding bigotedly to a proposition, in order to present your jewels back to the world with swelling pride: look at what vile pieces of shit those people are!
Here’s my contribution to this ridiculous practice: it is highly likely that, had James Bulger been allowed the opportunity to grow into an adult, he would have become someone you consider to be a vile racist. You surely can’t deny this possibility, right? Or are Britons split?
I saw some “black Father Christmas” bollox on Twitter. The problem with it wasn’t that the Father Christmas was black, but that the fact he was black was the selling point and race was made a feature. The gist being that black kids need a black Santa to relate to. It’s segregationist. I’d have as much of a problem with a white Santa being advertised as such.
I dont really care but this seems to be just hate bait
