  4. The only thing you get by giving an answer is confirming to them that your phone number is in active use.

    So they’ll try again, and again and again

    And their scams will get better

    It’s better to just block and ignore.

  9. These are most likely spoofed numbers. Add them in your phone. Then open whatsapp/telegram/… and see the name or picture. These people often have no idea their number is sending them.

  10. What this accomplished is that someone received a text from an unknown number claiming they’re a cop and pretending to arrest you if you don’t comply.

    And probably reported it for phishing.

  11. Thanks for sharing the image. I filed an abuse ticket with “ZAP hosting”, which is the company that owns the server where this page is hosted. Usually this company is pretty fast at resolving tickets, but it’s christmas so….

    Their automated ticket reply said average response time is 36 minutes. At 21h50 christmas day? [X] Doubt

    Edit: Holy shit! They answered 13 minutes later that they took the server offline. On Christmas day!

  15. Even off-topic, maar ik geloof dat het ook illegaal is zich voor te doen als een politieagent. Als deze persoon ooit gevat wordt, kunt ge door het sms verkeer nog zelf problemen krijgen

    * It’s illegal to pose as an officer of the law, regardless of the situation.
    * This message probably originates from the phone of someone who fell for a phishingmessage themselves and had their phone infected with a malware. And you just posted their phone number online.

  18. Apart from clicking the link, this reply is probably the most stupid thing you can do when receiving a phishing text. Honestly, it might be the worst thing tout court.

  23. ‘k wil nu niet moeilijk doen, want het is een tof idee. Alleen is het een misdaad om u uit te geven als iemand anders… Dus ge zijt zelf ne phisher nu 🙂

Ik heb dit ooit eens gedaan met een oplichter op 2de hands.Deze bleef maar reageren dat mijn pakketje zou verzonden worden en zou zelfs iets extra toevoegen voor het lange wachten,maar stuurde uiteindelijk nooit iets op.Ik had zijn adres niet,maar wel zijn rekening nr en stuurde een laatste mail met de melding dat zijn gegevens zijn overgemaakt aan de politie en hij daar persoonlijk contact kon opnemen om mijn klacht te laten vallen.
    Nooit nog iets van gehoord,maar nog altijd niets ontvangen.Vanaf die dag laat ik nooit nog iets verzenden via 2de hands die meer dan 50 kost en minder dan 5 positieve feedbacks heeft.
    Die oplichter had 3 positieve feedbacks,maar dat blijkt dus niet voldoende om betrouwbaar te zijn 😉

  32. OP just wanting to share something he thought was funny, but instead reddit shits on him (I mean the comments are true, but there’s no reason to repeat the same message 20 times). Been there myself.
