When are people gone realise that missing an exit is not the end of the world… The amount of people I see pulling this stunt is allways baffling. Relax, take the next exit and be safe
I hired a car and drove for the first time in months yesterday. The incompetence and rage on the road is insane. I’m genuinely glad I don’t have to drive a car everyday……

I still don’t know what goes through these peoples’ minds: the exit is clearly marked and signed for a long time. It is really, really hard to miss it. And even if you do, the next exit is just a short bit later.

The latter is preferred on Belgian roads for some reason.
To think one kilometer down the road there is a big roundabout which allows you try taking the exit again.

another thing I noticed on Belgian roads – if you are in the right lane and want to switch to the left lane – fuck you. The guy in the middle lane will continue matching your speed until you run out of fuel.
In this episode of the Belgian overtake:
9 points for the safety barrier not piercing through the vehicle. Hopefully it will get fixed before the next driver makes their attempt.
9 points for the cars airbags and safety features taking on the rest or the impact. It’s likely a total loss though.
10 points for the other drivers rushing in to help. Special shout out to the third person entering the scene for first checking that some other idiot wouldn’t try a Belgian overtake as they went in to rescue the driver.
10 points for the driver remaining committed towards ramming into the barrier. He could have easily swerved at the last second and endangered others around him.
10 points for lack of foresight and taking unnecessary risks on the drivers part. Perfectly executed at the last moment between two trucks blocking his visibility.
After tallying up all the points, the final score is: “what an idiot”.
When I drive in the city limits in Brussels, I set the “self-drive/cruise control” option to 30 km/h (this is the speed limit inside the ring, and also in most communes around). I still see idiots trying to speed up from behind and try and overtake me, sometimes with pedestrians clearly visible on zebra crossings. It is just plain lunacy.
Not the sharpest pencil in the box.
When will there be a vaccine against stupidity ?
Me: *switches to right lane 1km beforehand because I get stressed I might miss my exit otherwise*

Whoever it was, learned the lesson… The hard way unfortunately. In Flanders we say “wie ni hore wil, moet maar voelen”. Roughly translated it means that if you don’t want to listen, you will suffer the consequences the rough way. They tell this to
little kids implying they will feel the hand of the Father if they don’t listen to the parent. Getting a spanking essentially.
