I’m not from Dublin and I don’t have clue what mattie is saying most of the time.
I often have to deal with a lad from Donegal in work. When I get him on the phone, I also say ‘can you put it in an email’ because I dont have a clue what he is saying.
Met him in person recently, nice guy, still no idea what he is saying…
Even with the subtitles I was still convinced he was saying lying.
Dubs think everyone outside of Dublin is a culchie, everyone outside of ireland thinks the Irish are culchies👍

Why “Dubs meet culchies”, there were people from other parts of the country that aren’t “culchies” that didn’t understand him including from his own county… at least according to the media coverage.
