Hello folks. I’ve read the Wiki article on How to move to Germany (thanks for putting that together, by the way) and it was super helpful. I’m still feeling a little bit unsure though, so I was hoping to get your thoughts on my case.
**What’s your take on my outlook for making it in Germany?**
* I’ve just turned 30 years old. I have a university degree, which I have found a match for in the Anabin database. It’s in the humanities (International Relations), with an emphasis on business, beyond geopolitics, cultural exchange, etc.
* I’ve worked in non-profits (incl. prestigious DC think-tank), but mostly and more recently I’ve had account managing and project managing roles in the tech industry (B2B / IT Services and IT Consulting). Fully global team, clients and partners are leading brands in the US and EU. I do great work for great companies.
* Culturally, personally, mindsetly (?!) I’m super ready. I’m a wordly guy, and at the same time fully ready to integrate respectfully and I’m pretty fluid with culture. If I move to Germany, I want to enrich, contribute, respect the nation.
* Language. Right now, I’m A2 nearing B1. I’ve been studying about 1-2 hours daily and improving fast. I feel good about being a solid B2 in a few months. But, yes, short to mid-term realistically I think I can only really thrive in a mostly English position.
Okay, now here’s the part the scares me the most, starting with the bureaucracy. I’m not a EU citizen. I have French ancestry but I’ve looked into it and that’s a dead end. I’m a citizen of Brazil, which incidentally I was surprised to see has its own [dedicated version of the make it in Germany website](https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/).
Also, I’m a good professional but I don’t have any rare, specialized skills. And while I work in the tech industry implementing software solutions and I’m very comfortable with code, I’m not by any means a software engineer nor do I have certifications in any such hard skills. **Am I generally the type of skilled worker the country claims to want to attract?**

So, folks, what do you think overall? Any advice on what to do first in order to increase my chances, or tips on what my first steps should be? I really, really want to make this work.
Many thanks in advance for any input!
