  11. The idea of us getting a 1997-style change is unlikely too. Even if the Tories are voted out at the next election, Brexit and the cost of living crisis will be so entrenched in the UK that it will take at least a decade or two to recover from; you then throw climate change into the mix and a proper recovery seems almost impossible. We lost on generation to the 2008 crisis and we look set to lose even more, so of course life is tougher.
