Waiting on a PCR ourselves at the moment… There’s a lot of it about
They dont have enough staff for the actual hospitals let alone extra ‘field hospitals’
Like how they did the emergency Nightingale hospital as covid was killing everyone, which turned out to be frequently empty?
Field hospitals in car parks but sure go ahead and suck down that Christmas dinner at grandmas house.
NHS coming up with contingency plans is not the same as the NHS being overwhelmed right now. If you read the article you would understand that. I would also note that the main problem the NHS (and many of our industries) face right now is staff self isolating due to positive tests (not necessarily symptomatic disease). Perhaps asymptomatic staff should be allowed to continue working provided they do not develop covid symptoms.
Study out of South Africa today (Omicron epicenter)
>The authors found that the risk of hospital admission was roughly 80% lower for those with Omicron, and that for those in hospital the risk of severe disease was roughly 30% lower.
COVID at worst was a bad flu to 99% of people, so a weaker version of the bad flu is now forcing the country to shut down, and people to panic…What a complete joke
Why? Omicron is much less dangerous than previous strains. This response makes no sense.
