I am getting a puppy from a breeder in Germany, and travelling with him back to Finland. Finnair allows transport of dogs in the cabin under certain conditions ([https://www.finnair.com/fi-en/pets-on-finnair-flights](https://www.finnair.com/fi-en/pets-on-finnair-flights))
My question is- has anyone used this service before? I would be happy to hear your experience. What dog breed (puppy or adult) did you transport, what went well, and what didn´t, and any other advice you may have (e.g. did you use a specific pet carrier, etc.). Note I am not interested in transporting the cabin as cargo or in the hold.
The alternative for me would be to drive from the breeders house to the Finnlines ferry, and take the ferry from Germany to Helsinki. It would perhaps take 1.5-2 extra days to do.
