For over 20 years my family and I lived beside a horrible neglected alleyway the council never tended to it even after my pleas. I decided to take action myself.
I joined the local tidy towns which I’m the youngest member by 30 years I asked the team to assist my neighborhood.
The alley is a shortcut used by hundreds of people a day but it is not on any map or maintained. We painted over the graffiti, collected 4 large bags of trash, cans and bottles and removed the overgrowth!
Next steps in the future would hopefully be public bins, signage, a cycle lane and a community mural and get the school it is adjacent to involved!

Vandal!!!
Fair play to you!!
Well done to you, and all the group. Be great if more younger people got involved in Tidy Towns, they do good work.
In the words of John F. Kennedy “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”
Up the moist. I wonder what red flashing lights level of sexual frustration banksy junior was feeling on that particular workday.
Well done, looks like you’ve found a vocation, that job is right up your alley..
Well done! 👏
Fair play to ye,
Just hope it isn’t seen as a blank canvas sooner rather than later.
Similar thing was done near me recently, all the work destroyed after 10 days.
Wonderful work there! But im sorry you had to do it instead of elect officials doing their job.
Great job. Well done
Fair play my brother but took you long enough hahah
Can we start giving our taxes to this guy?
Fair play. Don’t be surprised if it turns to shit again very soon though. There is no shortage of shitebags around these days.
Well done, it looks lovely now, great work.
Bloody brilliant of you. Well done. (You should set up a youth network for this kind of thing, paid by residents.🙏🏼)
Excellent work.
Great stuff man. Great to see young people taking an interest in keeping their community clean
