Visited Kandersteg today to visit Oeschinensee and just wow… Everywhere I visit here I’m in awe (also visited Blousee). For those of you who live in Switzerland, do you regularly get outside to go explore? If you know of any cool jobs pharmacists can do here besides work at a pharmacy, please let me know! Like the title says, I’m ready to move here!

Could you do research/development? Plenty of pharma companies in Switzerland.
From the US? Nearly impossible.
If you’re working in pharma you can’t live in Kandersteg, you’d have to live in Basel, and at that point you can just as well move to Gary Indiana.
Edit: Did you do the Fründenschnur hike? That’s a fun one https://i.imgur.com/NaA3GsG.jpg
That’s all fake and photoshop, it’s ugly here, don’t come.
People are assholes, everywhere is trash, prices are high, salaries are bad, politics don’t work, noone is on time ever, SBB always late, chocolate really bland, water tastes like chlorine, and the mountains are nothing more than piles of rubble.
TLDR; really not worth it, trust me I live here and would rather move to, say Belarus than live here if I had the budget to do so.
Thank me later for saving you 🙂
You know you can’t live in the middle of a trail right ?
Before you move 10000km away, go visit Montana
As an avid motorcyclist, this is the sorta thing I ride to every weekend in summer.
I left the US over a decade ago for Switzerland. Married Swiss girl and have a Swiss daughter. Never looked back
Lots of pharma jobs in nearby Valais (e.g. Lonza in Visp).
There’s a post like yours 28484 times per day. Maybe check the requirements HOW you could even move here first. 😄
