  1. Are they still isolated from the rest of the parties?

Would CDU ever enter a coalition with AFD?

  2. All they have to do is play the France riots on repeat and they’ll win.

  3. Hey AfD!

Could you please just sort of… not?

    Thanks,

  4. Upon initial glance I thought AFD became the largest party.

  5. Just a quick reminder that they are outright fascist, have proven that they have no problems with Putin nuking Berlin and want to leave the EU as fast as they can. If they ever will govern Germany Europe is in for a ride.

  6. Here come the brownshirts again. It’s time to butt out before the next chapter, we all know how it goes.

  7. What are the bars in the background for? They seem to vary wildly by party and have no correlation to the bar in front.

  8. Well not surprisingly when you see how bad this current government is. Germany was blessed with 16 years of merkel. This is just the result of the current incompetent leeches.

  9. Hardly surprising.

Until the political elite find out that cheap foreign labor IS NOT better than raising wages for your own citizens then we can expect the far-right to rise everywhere.

  10. If u look at France recently you realize why AFD has some success..

  11. Obviously can’t assume this… but it looks like the losses of SPD and FDP went to AFD. Would be curious from which party most of their support is coming from.

How many centrist voters flip from SPD to CDU- how many CDU/SPD voters shifted to the far right/ pro-russian party, etc?

  12. The truth, whether you like it or not, is that this was caused by the German government adopting a migration policy that many people were not very keen on. A requirement for migration must be intergration into the community, otherwise the community falls apart. That’s just common sense. Currently, the EU and Germany do a lot to protect the rights of migrants (which is good), but it has very few obligations for them.

The unfortunate part is that even thought AfD’s official party program is only right-wing, in actuality they flirt a lot with national socialism. That’s something a lot of AfD either aren’t aware of or are so desperate to preserve their community that they vote in desperation.

Until both the centre-left and centre-right accept that, AfD will eventually win in Germany — and what they will implement will be far worse.

  13. AFD is rising probably because Germans are concerned over too many foreign workers in Germany, so they want their government to close the doors and enforce locals to do those jobs and carry the economy instead and enforce local German culture?

  14. Another pro putin fifth column party rising. Will Europeans ever have the stomach to protect themselves from Russian savagery? Or will they always eventually cave in?

  15. Is this the point at which we should start stockpiling weapons?

  16. Remember arguing with a stupid German few years ago online who told me this would never happen again in his country. Wonder where he is now. 🤣

  17. Serious question.

So what’s the main point ppl vote for afd?

Immigration? Anti-EU? Being promised more wealth?

    In Flanders it’s
    1) Immigration, by a landslide

Distant 2) being promised more wealth with a tad of anti-EU

Distant 3) Walloons (only Flanders obviously)

  18. Damn it is really frightening to see how quickly right wing parties are rising around the world.

I can surely say for the Turkish Parliament that it has never been so much dominated by the right wing parties and this may also be said for the Greek Parliament but I am not that sure about it.
