These numbers mean nothing if you cannot compare them to the amount previously collected
All the people complaining about this system make me laugh. If you actually bothered with the rather easy way of putting bottles in the green/gray bag and put them out on the right day we wouldn’t have this system.
But you were too lazy and here we are.
No recycling is taken place in Malta. These are shipped (hey hey fuel!) to 3rd world countries which IN THEORY should recycle them – but in practice end up in rivers.
Ah, and as a perk, this whole BCRS is run by beverage companies in Malta (not recycling experts!), and the end game is that any unrecycled bottles means an additional profit stream for the companies that are actually producing the need for plastic.
