“Portugal aims to generate 85% of its annual electricity usage from renewable sources by 2030, up from around 60% in 2022, which was already one of the highest ratios in Europe.”
Another great step we’re taking towards fully embracing renewable sources as our electricity supply
Strangely enough, when I went to Lissabon last week, it was noticable that barely any of the houses had solar on them. The weather seems to be perfect for using the sun’s energy.
A buddy of mine said that the heat isn’t favorable for solar panels though. Or maybe it’s just to expensive for the average person? It would be great if someone from Lissabon could give more details!
