Considering my teachers in the 80s would explode if you touched a calculator without permission, I’m shocked kids have been allowed to have their phones in the building at all.
About time we had policies on curbing the influence of these “tech” industries on our education system . It’s proven that these tools are made to fight for your attention and kids kids/teenagers are easy preys.

Kinda misleading title. There isn’t any requirement from the government. But any school can decide on their own if they want to allow phones, just like they already can. They are only advising schools to do so, but that’s kinda meaningless.
Nltimes.nl really have a lot of misleading articles catered towards right wing expats.

Id like to reach my kid anytime, so should my kids be able to reach me.
Sure texting / facebook / Instagram anything unrelated for use during your class. I can understand.
But not having it on you at anytime in your class. Nope.
Same in Finland. It’s part of the new government’s program.
