It won’t bother most Tory voters anyway. No environmentalist is voting Tory to begin with, while NIMBYs will be happy that green energy projects will not affect their picturesque view of the countryside. Several Tories will also get some nice jobs with banks heavily invested in fossil fuels, or with the fossil fuel companies directly. The only reason to drop this policy is greed. Any average person who thinks this is a right move does not realise their future has been sold off by the government.
It’s gotta go into their friends’ pockets instead for undelivered PPE. Fucking scum.

Along with, “I’ll cut the deficit, not the NHS.”

Absolutely brilliant. First you cut the % you spend on foreign aid, then you include assistance given to Ukraine in the number for foreign aid and then you just say “we can’t do this because it would mean spending 88% of the budget on the environment only and we also have to help little girls etc.” And if you say this is an outrage and the environment is important they can just say “why don’t you want to help little girls?”
