Have they uncovered the taxi account yet?
Didn’t Patrick kielty say last week he was paying for his own flights? And now it’s emerging rte were ready to pay for 1st class flights
> Another RTÉ star, Eoin McGee, who wrote a book How To Be Good With Money, was paid €17,000 for his advice by the Competition And Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC)
For some reason there are two things just popping into my head while this story tonight:
– one of them was huge case of mismanagement of funds at the Garda training college a few years back. Fás is coming to mind as well. Untouchable semi-state bodies that were getting funds from the various parts of the state and spending it with no accountability.
– The other train of thought is Eddie from Absolutely Fabulous, for some reason I can picture a lot of people at RTE sharing similarities to this character.
Random thoughts before I fall asleep.
“In a letter to the Committee, RTE said a number of staff members complained to the broadcaster’s data protection officer objecting to their personal information being published.”
Bet they regret divulging their salary on the radio last week now
