Carol Vorderman has been accused of “inciting people to hate all Tories” by a Conservative minister’s wife.
Felicity Cornelius-Mercer, whose husband Johnny Mercer is responsible for veterans’ affairs, claimed the former Countdown presenter was a “celebrity attack dog”.
Vorderman has previously referred to Conservative MPs as “disgraceful” and told the party’s deputy chairman Lee Anderson to “get a grip” in a Twitter spat earlier this year.
Speaking on a podcast hosted by the broadcaster Rachel Johnson, Ms Cornelius-Mercer said about Vorderman: “She just drives me up the f—ing wall.
“For me, it’s this idea of these celebrity attack dogs that know nothing about politics.
“I understand everyone has an opinion on politics, but for me, it’s this blanket hatred of, it’s like inciting people to hate all Tories.
“If you dig deeper, there are so many Tory MPs – they’re all very different. There’s a huge range of different types of personalities, different opinions, different views, different principles.
“You can’t blanket hate. This is what Vorderman seems to be doing. She keeps using words like ‘disgusting’.”

Secondly, having watched her recent statements with great interest, in what fucking world is she being a “celebrity attack dog”? All she has done is refuse to just drop the ***fucking massive corruption*** that went on during covid particularly with regards to PPE purchasing.
One of the *very few* voices who seems, you know, somewhat concerned that in a time of such crisis as covid the majority of our government seemed more interested in using it as an excuse to feather their own nest than deal with a problem that killed hundreds of thousands of Brits.
