When I was in Japan, Tinder is quite strange in terms of what comes up, it’s due to the fact that dating culture in Japan is more traditional, people are more conservative, so Tinder isn’t really popular, but before I deleted the app, it was quite strange in Japan, at least in my experience. What I’ve seen is:
* So much face tuning, or heavily relying on Photoshop
* Everyone conceals their identity: most of the time their profile is private
* Snapchat filters – so excessive (especially cat Whiskas)
* Emoji overload: mainly hearts or smiley faces to redact his or her face, they’re using it as if it’s a magic eraser.
* Aliases galore: they do not even use their first name at all or hint of their real identity (I think there’s a fear of identity theft so they all resort to using nicknames or random letters as aliases)
* Instead of putting an actual name, instead type A, B, C, or any other letter or nickname as a placeholder rather than his or her first name
* Barely any info, interests, very private profile
* A common thing accompanying their picture is food, pets, etc.
* A common theme for profiles in JP, it’s always half her face instead of a complete picture
* Pictures of him or her, mainly avoiding showing their faces
* Pictures of them wearing face masks concealing their face
* Bot accounts: quite a few, mainly extorting money or straight-up catfish or a scam
Secondly, I’ve encountered JP-EN language teachers on there (wtf?) as a platform for advertising lessons on teaching Japanese or English, I mean there are other platforms for that. Even from this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6pE4Td7Uwc), this guy’s experience with using the app in Japan is quite unique.
In hindsight, what type of content is thereupon using the app in Slovakia? What is a common theme you’ve noticed in a lot of profiles? As an Slovakian man or woman, would you still date a Japanese person despite his or her profile being private, as their face is barely shown, along with barely anything about them such as interests, hobbies or their bio being blank or barely filled in as they mainly redact their personal details?

I don’t use tinder anymore, but when I did my experience was pretty good. (In Bratislava).
Not difficult to get a date, and the rest is up to you
I personally dislike apps that need to use your location.
Here we got a thing called Pokec, it have regular browser version and app version as well. Common thing is that people don’t use photos and there is no info about them in their profile. Ofc this depends on people. Some women have hundreds of photos there and wall of text in profile with 10+ required things you must have/do for them to even write “hi” back lol. Pokec is often used by OF girls to promote their content, women selling photos and videos outside sites like OF and women offering certain services.
As for getting regular dates, well it’s basically dead. Peak was in late 2000’s.
