Is it true they were also getting a car allowance also !! That’s bonkers.
So they get the free use of a car for five years and then think they can just hand it back and all of forgiven? I wonder if my local dealership would offer me something similar?

A dealership wont give out a free car to just an ordinary staff member for 5 years.
I think revenue need to step in here and do a full audit of RTE.
