Good. This country needs more protests – so much wrong here that I don’t even care what they’re protesting and isn’t clear yet from the article.
This country and world are in extraordinary times and it requires dissent at all levels and in all contexts.
Apparently a grandma, with a just stop oil t-shirt, got a bit of confetti and jigsaw pieces on the court. Daily Shitrag are writing about it as if it is a major security breach (don’t give them clicks). Newsflash, anyone can run onto the court if they are happy to get escorted away and possibly arrested by police.
I’m sure we can expect a lot of roast ham to turn up and complain about there being ‘better ways to protest’. Thing is, there isn’t really. National publicity. No real crime committed. No indirect harm to anyone. It’s a good protest.
Saying ‘you just don’t do that’ in a pompous voice with a red face isn’t an argument against it.
These fresh out of the packet protestors going around shouting “but you partake in society hmmm curious” disrupting our communities which have fought for decades for the environment. We should improve society somewhat and being part of society as a whole does not mean we have failed.
These lot are tedious. Wasn’t the kid that Bairstow carried off last week the son of a multi millionaire hedge fund manager and lives in their mansion?
Before anyone hits out with the “What does this have to do with the environment/fossil fuel industry” chat.
She had a plan to scatter that jigsaw all over court 18, but it all fell apart within moments! Dumped it all in one spot!
I thought she’d be upset at her performance, but her transition into a celebratory aeroplane shows that you can make good of a bad situation! Amazing.
Terrible behaviour by JSO disrupting the, uh, working class just trying to, uh, do an honest day’s work…
Oh no, someone threw some confetti. However will they cope with the trauma..
Meanwhile we have MPs who mock people in poverty and act like foodbanks are a lifestyle choice, who then act like they’re oppressed because someone calls them a twat. Others are calling to ban overseas care workers, just so they can get headlines about lowering immigration for the next election and who cares if the vulnerable have to suffer? Sociopathic behaviour.
But no, some sport was interupted. That’s waaaaay more important.
Who cares. Tournament supporting Russian Nazism and genocide should never been allowed to take place.
Shameful.
Listening to the wankers in the crowd at Wimbledon booing and Tim Henman being “frustrated” by the protests is fucking cringe.
I love tennis by I also quite like the idea of the continuation of life on Earth. What’s so difficult to understand? We’re not doing enough to tackle climate change which is very much an existential threat to us and to every species on this planet.
Its very odd that people trying to get attention for the message ‘wouldn’t it be better if we didn’t all die horribly in the not too distant future?’ are seen as extremists.
Another white middle class person here to save the world…
I like the way security dashed to stop Dimitrov in his path instead of the protester. Must have been taking lessons from the police.
Say what you like about JSO, they’re really good at getting tickets for stuff.
Remember when the media refused to commentate on disruptions of sports events?
I do.
Still yet to have anyone explain to me what this actually achieves.
Arrest them and throw away key for goodness sake.
When will their lunatic “protest” turn deadly and put lives at risk. My guess is very soon.
Wimbledon is fine, I am genuinely worried someone is going to get hurt if they enter the track in F1 this weekend during the race.
Good. I fucking hate pro tennis shitheads. It’s all about the cash. And Wimbledon club is a hive of cunts especially.
I honestly think one of these days, somebody is going to resort to violence against the JSO protestors.
Yet we are silent about Russians being allowed to play there

The official banking partner of Wimbledon is Barclays, and [between 2016-2022, Barclays sent the most funding to fossil fuel companies, primarily Exxon Mobil](https://www.euronews.com/green/2023/04/13/bnp-paribas-barclays-europes-biggest-fossil-fuel-financiers-and-who-to-bank-with-instead).
