We borrowed a ton of money to pay ourselves bonuses, now you need to pay more to service the debt we chose to take on. We’ll *say* it’s for infrastructure, but frankly that was what we said when we took on the debt in the first place.

Surely there is some kind of accountancy regulation that states dividends and bonuses will not be paid if debt is greater than “X”.
If there is, then someone should be going to jail.

So now we have to pay a company extra cash for the privilege of them pumping record amounts of liquid shit (that we pay them to treat and not pump into the water supply) directly into our water supply. That money will of course go directly into shareholders profit and not into treating the liquid shite, so that in 5 years time they can increase the price dramatically yet again saying that it is to prevent them pumping liquid shite into the water supply.

They saw other utility companies bend us over and go in dry (and be allowed to get away with it) , now they want a peice of the action
The regulator needs grow a pair and tell them to fuck off but it wont because water company boards are full of ex ofwat directors. Why the fuck should we pay to clean up their fucking mess.

Because Managers and Shareholders stole all the money customers gave them for service and maintainance, they would now like customers to pay twice for the same service without any commitment by the Company that they won’t just steal their customer’s money again.
