Well congratulations! The social media “do gooders” have claimed their pound of flesh.
I can almost picture the comments now
That’s very sad.
Poor women
Obviously no one should litter but I hate how comfortable people are just taking pictures of absolute strangers to post online now, not only do you know they’ll get harassed but you don’t know anything about them- they could’ve been hiding from an abusive partner or in this case been vulnerable enough to take their own life after online harassment. Even if they aren’t vulnerable taking pictures of strangers is weirdo behaviour.
I don’t really know what to say to this. I am actually in favour of shaming people who litter. It’s a disgusting, filthy habit that recklessly endangers wildlife and the destroys what little of the natural environment we have remaining. I think that it’s pretty obvious that she had other, more significant issues that contributed toward her making the decision that she did, and her being called out publicly for her bad behaviour was likely just the tipping point.
Either way, it’s a terrible thing for any person to reach a point in their lives where they feel that death is a preferable solution to what is ultimately a temporary problem. What a sad end to a short life.
Cancel culture can be extremely toxic and disportionate to the offence.
RIP
There is so much unresolved anger and hate on social media, if you do something wrong, even minor, you can get it all unleashed on you.
Everyone with stored up hate seems to shit it all over you.
Yes she had other issues, but so do lots of people! We all have problems. We are all close to the edge.
Anxiety and an eating disorder. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if this was partly due to social media too. A lot of people I know with serious struggles with anxiety feed it by going on Facebook and Instagram. Part of mental health care needs to be telling people to get off these sites.
